Michael Winram leads the Maddocks Sydney Public Law practice. He is one of Australia’s leading administrative, environment, planning, approvals and land access lawyers. His client focus is working with all levels of government to promote good decision-making and defend decisions once made.
Winram also conducts investigations, particularly in respect of allegations of corruption or where the decision-making process has faltered for probity reasons. He also has a significant Native Title Practice and is acting for Aboriginal land councils and other Indigenous groups and nations.
Winram regularly appears in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Land & Environment Court, the NSW Supreme Court, the Queensland Supreme Court and the Federal Court.
He is motivated by making a difference for his clients, the community and his team.
