Profile
Bron O’Loan is the founder and principal director of O’Loan Family Law, a specialist family law firm with offices in North Sydney and Rozelle, New South Wales, Australia. She leads a team of family lawyers who help separating couples and parents protect their children, finances and future through clear advice, practical resolution and strong advocacy.
Bron is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Specialist Accreditation is awarded by the Law Society of NSW to solicitors recognised as having specialised competence in their area of practice.
Her path into family law was far from conventional. Before becoming a lawyer, Bron worked as a primary school teacher, university lecturer, technology professional and business owner. Her own experience of separation in her twenties also shaped her understanding of how isolating and uncertain this period can feel. She later studied law while raising three children, determined to help families navigate separation with greater clarity, care and dignity.
At O’Loan Family Law, Bron and her team seek amicable, workable settlements wherever possible. They do not create conflict for the sake of it. When a former partner becomes difficult, evasive or unsafe, the team steps in firmly to protect the client’s position and move the matter forward.
The firm advises on property settlements, parenting matters, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, de facto relationships, complex financial matters and family violence concerns. Its family lawyers work with clients across North Sydney, Rozelle, the Lower North Shore, Inner West and greater Sydney.
Bron is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Law Society of NSW, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Women Lawyers Association of NSW, Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals, Parenting Coordination Australia and the Northern Beaches Collaborative Practice Group.
In February 2026, Bron and her team completed Lifeline’s Domestic Violence Response Training, DV-alert. This formed part of the firm’s continued training in responding safely and appropriately when family and domestic violence is present.
Bron is known for seeing solutions others miss and making complex family law issues easier to understand. She brings warmth and emotional intelligence to the room, gives clients a clear view rather than a wall of legal jargon, and remains formidable when the situation calls for it.
And her coffee order? Peppermint tea, thank you very much.
