Profile
Felicity Edwards is a partner and head of the employment service line at Sparke Helmore Lawyers. Known for her pragmatic approach, she is an approachable and passionate advisor on all workplace, discrimination and industrial relations issues.
Edwards regularly assists clients with large-scale workplace investigations, including those arising from whistleblower complaints, and advises clients on enterprise agreement bargaining, such as developing strategies for clients to achieve their bargaining goals in the face of union pressure.
She runs a high-volume litigation practice, acting for several NSW government clients who are some of the largest employers in the country. She represents clients in state and federal tribunals on the full range of claims made by employees as well as discrimination complaints made by members of the public against these agencies.
Edwards regularly litigates in the state and federal jurisdictions for private and public sector clients, including advocacy, on a range of matters such as unfair dismissals, general protections claims, good faith bargaining disputes, applications for industrial action, contractual disputes including urgent enforcement of post-employment restraints, anti-discrimination proceedings and other industrial applications.
She is also a director of Little Wings, a not-for-profit organisation that transports sick children from regional areas to get life-saving medical care. She is an avid supporter of pro bono services and passionate about mentoring young female lawyers.
