Associate director Julia Zisos is a highly skilled corporate and commercial lawyer with a sharp focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, shareholder disputes, governance, capital markets and business structuring. Since joining WRP Legal in 2015, she has worked with clients ranging from listed companies to charities and small-to-medium enterprises, providing tailored legal solutions to complex commercial challenges.
Some of her recent career highlights include advising a multibillion-dollar listed mining company on strategically significant land acquisitions valued at more than AU$100 million, including FIRB approvals, stamp duty mitigation and ASX disclosure obligations.
Zisos has also led Series A capital raises of approximately AU$23 million and AU$45 million for Australian technology companies. The latter was the largest Series A raised by a software-as-a-service company in South Australian history. She is also advising a multibillion-dollar mining company listed on the NYSE, TSX and ASX on the structuring, incorporation and ASX listing of a new asset-holding vehicle.
Her other major matters include advising a multibillion-dollar e-commerce company on a proposed IPO, acting in the AU$50 million-plus sale of a South Australian agribusiness to an international listed company, conducting due diligence for a AU$300-million Melbourne CBD property acquisition and leading a AU$500-million restructure involving more than 60 landholdings.
With experience spanning high-value transactions, capital markets and corporate governance, Zisos is known for combining technical legal expertise with commercial acumen and explaining complex matters clearly.
