Profile
Martina Storgato’s focus has always been on empowering individuals. As partner and a national leader of the family law division at Mills Oakley, Martina is widely recognised for her mastery of matters involving complex financial issues, large family enterprises, discretionary trusts and multi-jurisdictional corporate structures.
Backed by five years of postgraduate research and a Master of Laws in Family Law, Martina navigates the intersection of family law, succession, tax compliance and bankruptcy to engineer bespoke strategies for some of Sydney’s most high-profile families. This often includes superior binding financial agreements, required for ultra-high-net-worth families.
Martina’s expertise also extends to intricate parenting cases, including surrogacy and cross-border disputes under the Hague Convention. Operating as a Nationally Accredited Mediator and collaborative law practitioner, she frequently orchestrates constructive, out-of-court resolutions that safeguard sensitive financial data and prioritise the long-term stability of the family and business unit.
Beyond her practice, Martina is regularly invited to provide leading-edge commentary on wealth and governance across industry forums. She serves as a non-executive director for the Be Centre Foundation and is a member of Forbes Women, UN Women Australia, Women on Boards and 100 Women. Recently selected for, and having attended Harvard Business School's 2026 Women's Leadership Forum in Boston, and humbled to be honoured as an Australasian Lawyer/NZ Lawyer Elite Woman 2026, her focus remains squarely on empowering her clients to confidently reclaim their futures.
After nearly 30 years of exclusive dedication to complex matrimonial matters, Martina has quietly earned a reputation as one of Sydney’s leading family lawyers.
