Since joining Kalus Kenny Intelex (KKI) as a lawyer in early 2019, Karla Brown has quickly ascended from lawyer to senior associate due to her leadership and technical skills. At only 4.5 years PQE, she is recognised both internally and externally as a leader of KKI’s commercial team. Not only does she possess outstanding client management skills, but she also mentors and supervises junior lawyers and law clerks within the commercial team and across the firm.
During the financial year 2022, Karla was promoted to senior associate in recognition of her outstanding team leadership, client management and technical skills. She led the commercial team to continue to leverage its unique depth of commercial and legal experience to support a diverse range of national and international clients in achieving growth, transformational change and commercial success.
By breaking through the traditional lawyer persona and conducting herself in a way that is authentic, empathetic and pragmatic, Karla engages with her clients on a human level. She has substantial experience providing legal, commercial and strategic advice to local and multinational businesses. She advises on commercial transactions, investment advice, corporate governance matters, general commercial agreements, intellectual property, privacy and data protection matters.
